Pepe & Hazard LLP has made a strong commitment to diversity a part of the corporate culture.
Fairness, respect and equal opportunity are essential parts of our core values. Furthermore, firm policy mandates that from recruitment through employment and promotion, we provide equal opportunity without regard for race, color, marital status, national origin, ancestry, past or present history of mental disorder, religion, sex, age, disability or veteran status, or any other category protected by law.
Our firm was a charter member of the Connecticut Lawyers Group, Inc., now known as the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity, Inc. A partner from the firm's Hiring Committee serves as our representative. Several of our attorneys have chosen to work alternative schedules in order to balance family commitment and career, and are accommodated through cutting-edge technological solutions and flexibility.
Our minority and women attorneys are actively involved in Firm governance, serving on our Associate Professional Development, Compensation/Hiring, Financial Risk Management and Diversity Committees. Many of these committees are chaired by a female partner.
A Women's Initiative Group focuses on developing the potential of female attorneys and initiates projects that involve all of Pepe & Hazard's attoneys. The firm supports the Group's efforts and funds periodic lunches, professional development initiatives and social marketing events.
